Final wooden pylon in position for the Aquatics Centre in Paris!
4 July 2022
There it is! The Aquatics Centre in Paris starts showing its sculptural wooden structure. With hoisting the final wooden pylon in position, the remarkable building is really coming to live, now visible to everyone in Saint Denis, Paris, and passersby.
The Aquatics Centre and its Pedestrian Overpass set a new standard for sustainable design. Its nature-inspired concept drives the architecture, resulting in a new perspective on aesthetics whilst meeting the Paris2024 sustainability goals. Combined with the Pedestrian Overpass and its park, they form a healthy and sustainable environmental ecosystem in Saint Denis.
