Echo” takes root in its context to enhance the neighborhood’s dynamics. It brings together activities, movement and people to create a welcoming place to live and meet. The design, gardens, public square and program reflect Lille’s culture of sharing and conviviality.

A new location in the image of “Lille metropole”: generous, accessible and open to all.
Both a place to live and a place to pass through, Echo creates continuity between day and night, work and leisure, bringing together “Lillois” for a day and for everyday life. Its innovative character lies partly in the complementary nature of its program: a hotel, a micro-brewery, an aparthotel, two student residences (one social, the other private)  co-living apartments and shared spaces open to the public.

Living design
The various programs are united by our coherent and subtle architectural language, in continuity with the major landmark of Euralille while introducing a human scale. In dialogue with the neighboring building “Biotope”, our architecture adopts a simple, structured mineral façade that leaves room for nature. The building’s compactness opens up ground for greenery and central breathing space. Through its ingenious S-shaped form, it protects itself from infrastructure noise by creating an intimate square at its centre while opening generously a garden towards the inner block.

Aligned with the environmental ambitions of the Pacte Lille Bas Carbone, Echo combines energy performance, generous planting and sober construction. The multiple forms of vegetation, together with the porosity of its architecture, provide genuine support for biodiversity. They create favorable habitats for many species: non-accessible planted roofs and balconies, green links between levels, climbing plants and multi-oriented façades.
