Friday 13 july, the renewed beursplein will be officially opened. The brand-new bike parking under need the square offers parking spots for 1700 bikes.

Alderman Sharon Dijksma (mobility): “Beursplein has regained the grandeur it once had. The fountains and the monumental lampposts are restored and placed back in their original positions. Also, the trees and benches are situated there where they were meant to be in the design of 1898. With the completion of this project we have realized a comfortable bike parking under need the square and oasis of peace on top of it. Amsterdam has got a beautiful new green square”
