On Thursday September 18, architects Danny Esselman and Bas Römgens give a lecture on the work of VenhoevenCS architecture+urbanism in Theater De Vest in Alkmaar.

On the basis of their projects, including the design for the Alkmaar Station and sports centre De Meent, they tell about the role of station nodes and multi-purpose, public buildings and new public space in the network society. Through clever design these buildings and infrastructure can contribute to the economic, social and environmental sustainability of the city and region.

After the lecture, the exhibition will be open in the upper foyer of the theatre. Here we present a selection of designs and previously realized public projects, in which TRANSIT and SPACE are the leading themes. The exhibition runs until October 13th.

The evening is organized by the AIA (Architecture Centre Alkmaar).
